If you feel overwhelmed, try this!
Life is sometimes just too much! Todo lists grow at work, and at home, it's hard to prioritize and make a decision. Or rather the only valid decision would be to run far away from all this, but you won’t, which leads you to procrastination. Sounds familiar?
Wise men said that the first intuitive choice is the best. So running away is better than procrastination, literally! Of course, you'll have to come back, but you'll do that after you had done some running in refreshingly air fresh (I assume you don't have a treadmill at home, like Linus Torvalds, although it might be a healthy option).
What You need is a break!
From everything that's connected to the Internet, for starters.
Take a notebook and something to write.
I usually start by making a mind dump. In the middle of the page, I draw some sort of symbol that resembles myself. Or my mind. Like a trash can, or something 😉 Then, I draw a mind map. With everything that’s on my mind becoming yet another tentacle or branch with a short description.
It actually helps seeing how much stuff is fighting for your attention inside your mind at any given moment. The goal is to do it manually. On a piece of paper. Computers are not allowed. Neither are smartphones!

Alfred Baudisch, whom I’ve mentioned some time ago, was writing a book about making software with Godot. Then started making a Simulator about Brazilian Food and apparently… it exploded. Here’s a YouTube clip so we can delve into his game and cheer for him 😊
Also not giving up is Conrad!
More good stuff from Bellulars :-)
And here’s a very interesting video - Case Against Visual Fidelity, which in a way is telling something close to my thoughts, that photorealistic graphics may not be the best approach for storytelling or making games whatsoever. I encourage you to watch it. Even if you don’t aim at making games with realistic graphics.
