Some time ago, I proposed a way to categorize my game ideas. The goal was to find a way to prioritize ideas based on the idea's complexity. From 2D games (defined as I, II, III) to 3D games (A, AA, AAA), a smaller scope makes the game more doable.
I'm following your framework as I noodle on a game idea!
And...if you aren't too far into Obsidian, I would give Capacities.io a try. It's object-oriented note taking system makes so much sense to me, over Notion and Obsidian.
Logseq was a good attempt at that, but I'm finding the visual representation in Capacities to be much more engaging for me!
I was into Notion for a few months but always felt like understanding it properly was just beyond my grasp. I abandoned it for the more user-friendly and straight-forward Monday.
Pretty well. But I am far from a power user. I do plan to give Notion another shot when I have time to dig into it and watch tutorials etc. But for now, Monday is covering the basics.
Thanks for the mention. I heard of obsidian but felt was too complicated and lacked a web version but seeing the video adn your post might try it now. I went with notion back then but it felt more like a repository rather than a 2nd brain. I do think the having a knowledge repo that you can link will be good.
Notion is a fun database, but I really think of writing a script that will convert all my Notion databases into Markdown files to be opened in Obsidian :-)
Obsidian is my favorite note-taking app! The more you use it, the more you realize how powerful and flexible it is. The Canvas feature is great for brainstorming.
This is a great breakdown for development. I love the chart!

As much as my Shiny Object Syndrome is all in into new tools, I kinda don't want to move all my notes to another system :-)
My Shiny Object Syndrome is in full effect as I've switched from Notion → Logseq → Capacities this year 😂

But my usage needs are incredibly simple.
How is Monday working for you?

All right. I'm going to install Obsidian now. :D
Thanks for the nice post.

Indeed!
