Pick my next experiment!
OK, I gotta admit, I didn't have an idea what to write about, so I decided to ask you about some experiments I’m trying and see which one you would like to read about. Of course, I’m pushing the needle in vibing Pong and creating some assets and skills I need to create the very next game :-) No worries ;-)
So, here are my ideas:
Feed my Substack to an AI to help me get better (but not write it)
I need some data analysis of my newsletter. But not only what I can get from the Substack dashboard. That’s why I was thinking about downloading an export of all my data and connecting an AI to interpret my newsletter content.
Perhaps I can converse with a fake-newsletter-analyst and learn what the most liked content I’m producing (well, it’s about time to check that), what is my model statistical reader (not that I ever cared...), what is my worst content, and so on.
Unfortunately, the content I made before going to Substack has no stats.
Is this the time to repost my content? (of course, updating it to be up to date)
PARA-Vault and AI
As you probably know, I’m a big fan of Obsidian vaults. I maintain mostly two (work and personal), sometimes I create smaller vaults for reusable knowledge (but this one isn’t working as I expected). I still struggle with whether I should consequently use folders to divide data, or to consequently keep everything in one folder and not use a folder explorer anymore.
In the meantime, I started using Notion because it was the best online database for us, poor people. Still manage my gaming backlog and read books through it. And more, but I already forgot what “more” was there; I don’t visit them so often.
Then, Obsidian introduced properties and database querying. And if it wasn’t for the fact that Notion is always online, I would probably already have migrated everything back to Obsidian. But some things are worth keeping in the file system on your cloud drive!
And then I started using the PARA method (both folders and tags), and things started to get more and more notes inside.
And then I realized... what if I used a CLI AI to manage it? Maybe this could help even more!
Of course, my personal vault is a mess, so I started with my work vault, which is much smaller and more task-oriented.
And... my productivity visibly skyrocketed!
PARA + AI + md files
A description of my User Stories as Code idea
I think I have a semi-complete vision for structuring a game in descriptions. Not yet battle-tested, though (as in: did not use AI to vibe code something based on it). Still, it can make the project more readable for both humans and AI.
Pokedex?
Or maybe I should make that Pokedex?
Of course, this is a project that might easily go on hiatus, since at some point I will have to go from software to hardware, and that will cost...
Still, making an app to serve Pokémon data like a Pokedex might be fun :D
So... what do you think?
