To be honest it’s more about the topic. So people selling me recipes/communities on how to succeed on Medium or on a side gig went away. Most of the gamedev related stayed, including yours. If it’s too long I just use Edge’s “read aloud” function :-)
Yours is not that long. It does requires more focus, though! Not a flaw.
Btw, I enjoy your personal insights on work/life balance and the duty of following interests. Also, I like the short newsletters. Long newsletters just drain me and lose my interest.
Then I really appreciate that you keep reading AIIG! That's one of my principles: I want my readers to WANT to read it, so it has to be attractive and substantial. Ironically, to your other point, I hardly get time to play games. That's (partly) why I cover demos - I get the most value from my limited gaming time.
I hear ya on unsubscribing from newsletters that are always trying to sell you something. Even if the advice they offer is solid, the neverending sales pitch gets old after awhile.
I get you about the selling...I'd love to buy it all but there's a limit lol
What's an ideal newsletter length for you? Like James, I try and make readers WANT to read, fully realizing that what I write about is VERY niche lol.

Gotcha (and thank you)!
But yeah, I hear you about the topic…I do like to read a wide range of things, but sometimes the ones that sell stuff all start to sound the same.

Haha, I was thinking recently that my newsletters are too short :D But then again, I just unsubscribed from many “too long” newsletters.
Thanks for the feedback :-)

You're doing good work! Among all those Discovery Queues we have, we need aggregators who actually look at all this stuff!

Godspeed to you on removing your distractions!
Thanks, bro!
